Beware! My wife brought in our car for a smog. They promised free retest if it failed with no stipulations added. The car failed due to a bad oxygen sensor. They gave a quote of $285 to fix the problem. I called them and specified the specific problem and the quote was dropped to $185, at that point he was not so friendly, and was clearly irritated.

The BOSCH part which was defective cost $65. It took a mechanic 5 minutes to replace it and one minute to clear the code. When I tried to get them to perform to their promise and retest, they tried to get me to repay for the entire smog because they did not do the repairs, which was not previously stated.

Use these mechanics at your own risk, in my opinion, it is quite a risk and
one not worth taking! To their credit, they appear friendly, but then again, so do Grizzly Bears.
