Prototech of Ft Lauderdale, Inc Force me to pay your bills!?

David Hart, owner of Proto tech of Fort Lauderdale, Inc, purchased 2 Porsche 911 front seats for his business from me. This transaction was administered through PayPal

. David Hart emailed me, wishing to purchase these seats for his business, but because he owned a business he could acquire shipping at a more attractive rate than the $150 I charged. (Through his personal freight account)
He had mentioned that he was rushing to complete a car for a client, and asked how quickly I could get my seats to Prototech. Once I said ASAP, he purchased the seats through PayPal and assured me that he will acquire shipping
for much cheaper. He soon proved this to me by having an employee, contact me by phone and explain that she had proof
the shipping was paid for by Prototech. This was explained to me that on the invoice it stated Bill to: Prototech of Fort Lauderdale, Inc as well as Prepaid checked off on the invoice. I was told this was through Prototechs freight account, and he uses this personal freight account all the time.

Seeing this proof from Prototech of Ft Lauderdale made me confident that he had truly taken care of the shipping charges, I refunded the $150 as requested
UPS came that same week and picked up the seats, never asking for a signature from me. UPS was in and out in 5 minutes.

I called Prototech later that week to make sure the package arrived undamaged, and an employee stated that everything was great.

Over 1 year later, I am invoiced by UPS for the charges of the shipment (Almost $300). I immediately called UPS and was told originally that it must be a mistake, since it clearly stated:
bill to Prototech of Fortlauderdale. I was put on hold while an employee checked with a manager. I was later told that David Hart have never paid this bill. They told me that they had been billing David Hart at Prototech for a year, and that it was now defaulting to me. I asked them if an arrangement could be made, and they wouldnt agree to anything other than full payment. I was also threatened of my credit being effected do to this bogus charge. They told me to contact David Hart at Prototech, since he would not respond to them.

I called David Hart and all he had stated was that he did not make any money from my seats and he doesnt remember the details of the purchase. I explained that it was not fair to leave me with this bill, and he made a comment that, We both lost money on this deal!

Unfortunately I have now had to pay it, since I was being threatened to have my credit impacted because of Prototechs
unfair business practice. So I lost $150 in a refund and almost $300 for shipping it to him. I wonder how many times he has done this before? It seemed very smooth. I would never in my life do business with him again! And he states hes a successful business owner!
