F-johnson sell a car using Western Union/Ebay

Cars & Transport

I found a car on CraigsList. The seller contacted me through email. She had a car to sell because her son had been killed in a car crash. She sent me an Ebay style confirmation that I had won the bid for her car. This document really looked like an Ebay transaction. I was to bring cash to Western Union and have the money sent to a "vehicle purchase program agent" in Florida. When the money was receive, then she would have the car transported to my home. Shipping was going to be free because someone else had paid for shipping, but had backed out of the deal. Once I received the car, then I had five days to accept or deny.

Luckily, the Western Union worker thought the payment details looked odd. I called Ebay and they knew nothing of this transaction. I didn't send the money, but just wanted others to be careful buying a car on Craigslist with an Ebay flare.
