Extra Care loopholes and limitations

The Toyota Platinum extended warranty agreement is full of loopholes. It cost over $1051.00 (in 2005) We had the hood latch break. Just a $55. Part and a few minutes installation but a possible safety problem should it come unlatched at high speed. I called them and they said it would be covered but I would have to take it to the dealer. They told the dealer that even though it is a covered item they wouldn't cover it because a nut had fallen off and that invalidated the warranty. The nut fell off that's why it broke!
