I was never wined or dined, but I sure got screwed, CO - Carol Stream, IL

I will admit to being an ignorant consumer trapped by Arcadia. I was in desperate need of a vehicle and blindly signed into an agreement I now regret. For one thing I never heard of anyone charging a full months payment as a late charge. I thought only video stores do that (which I also think is a rip-off). I found this out 2 years and a couple of late payments too late. I have been in severe financial hardship for two years now, but I've paid probably twice as much as the sale price of this vehicle.

I tried to trade it in before I got too far behind with my payments and have been turned down from everyone. The van is only worth $700 and I still owe $8700. I thought of just buying a new one and letting them take this but I couldn't get a loan for a new one without explaining this van. Is there anyone out there who can help me?

I will say this, their harassment has been pretty mild in my case and they were actually pretty nice to me. They rewrote my loan and lowered my payments by $20 a month. I think that was when I signed over my soul to them. Now I can't get them to answer my calls. Help. I realize I was an idiot but who out there reads fine print, I want to meet you.

They are about to repossess this van, which has an oil leak and won't pass inspection. I can't get to work without a car, my credit is ruined and I am so frustrated and upset. I would love to join any class action suit against this company.
