Charges You For Their Mistakes!

My truck had broke down one day and would not start up. Called my grandfather since I got the truck from him and explained the problems I was having. Come to find out my grandfather had the same problem several years ago and explained to me that the part that went out was the distributor. He told me to tell the mechanic that the problem is the distributor and not the fuel pump. Upon taking it to Galloway and explaining the issue to them they then dove in and called me back and said that the problem was the fuel pump. I then told them that it wasn't and that it was the distributor and told them my grandfather had fixed it before and knew the exact problem. They then reassured me that the fuel pump would fix my problem, even guaranteed it. So I shelled out the $420 tax and went on my way.

Several days later the truck broke down again, with the same problem it was having when I first took it to Galloway. I then called Galloway and let them know I was having a problem again. Got the truck down there and a few days later they called me and said that the problem was the distributor. Asked them if they were going to pay for it since they ignored my original explanation of the problem and took it upon themselves to fix it. They said that I would have to talk to the boss about it. When I got a hold of him he then stated that all he could do would be waive the parts and Labor and that instead of $225 tax it would cost $150 tax. When picking up the truck I asked what exactly the cost included. He stated that it was the discounted price of the part and Labor, after he said that it was waived. So he lied about waiving the part and Labor and I still had to pay for the mistake they made. Do not use Galloway for your repairs ever!!!
