I was getting a code PO140, inactivity of the aft O2 sensor on my 96 Beretta.
I replaced that sensor with a brand new $80 unit. I still got the PO140 code.
I checked all the wiring and those were all good. I worried it might be the Catalytic
converter was shot.

I decided to try the simulator reasoning if it made the code go away, I'd need a new converter. The code persisted after proper installation of the simulator.

I found a great company, spareecm on Ebay. They supplied a good used ECM reflashed with my vin number and the latest updates from GM. After installing the new ECM, with the simulator still installed, the light was still on and never went out. I disconnected the simulator and reconnected the O2 sensor, after just a bit of driving, the code went away and has not comeback since. The car was later tested for emissions by the state and passed.

I contacted O2simulator and they have never responded to any of my 3 emails.
If it was putting out a signal that simulated a good O2 sensor, the light should have gone off. But since it didn't even with the reflashed ECM, I have to conclude this item is bogus and doesn't work. At the very least they should have at least contacted me.
So save your money.
