I was quoted for a transmission repair for $997.32 with free tow and diagnosis. After first diagnosis, they stated they needed a deposit of $896.70 to their bank account at Bank of America. Since i already bank there, i thought i was safe. Afte the deposit, they supposedly opened up the transmission and there is more damage. They stated it will cost an additional $2857.03 to fix the whole thing. After talking with the shop, they stated they have tried working with the company but no call backs or anything. Decided to work with the local shop that had a reputable name, Cottman Transmission. I had them fix my truck transmission for $2214.13. This paid for the rebuilding of my transmission with tow. I was happy with the local shop but was left hanging with TranOne. They took my $896.70 and ran. I filed a complaint with FTC and hope this will help.
