I am a very disappointed senior citizen customer who bought a 2001 cadillac for $ll, 000 in cash three weeks ago at Jim Coleman Cadillac in Bethesda, Maryland and the sales manager refused to install an arm rest latch in my car. He instead told me I would have to pay more than $400 to have one installed. There was absolutely no latch in the arm rest when I bought the car so I feel I was treated unfairly. CLAYTON ROBERTS 202 635-2287 The delivery date was 07/28 from the Bethesda location - I was not offered any warranty - I talked to Joe Pallanten in 'service' and he advised me to talk to the used car manager about it. I talked to one of the managers and he brought it to the attention of the 'Manager in Charge' (I don't remember his name) and he called me today and said he would not install the arm rest latch. On the same day I bought the car it ran out of gas on the highway. The gas gauge was defective. I returned it the following day and it was corrected. Thank you for your interest and your help.

Hello Joe, I received you 'Thank you' letter today and I appreciate your concern about the service on my car. When I picked up my car the other day I asked about the 'arm rest latch' and you advised me to talk to the used car manager. I did and he would not authorize the service on it w/o a cost to me of more than $400. This morning, I tried to use the cruise control for the first time and it would not work. Joe I have driven cadillacs for more than 50 years and my experience with Coleman Cadillac is the first time I've been made to feel mistreated by a dealership. My car was paid for in cash for $11,000 and I would think they would be more involved in the condition of the vehicle.
