I would like to warn all customers of kia that they should be careful and be aware that kia will not be covering your car under warranty if you don't have any receipt. Though they said in their warranty manual that warranty coverage will not be denied solely because there is no record of maintenance... On page 27 of kia manual. I was fighthing for this for the last 3 weeks with kia motors of america to cover my failed transmission but they don't want to cover it because i don't have any proof of receipt or record of maintenance. When i bought the car 2002 they promise us to be cover for 100k warranty thats the no. 1 reason why we bought the car. Now my car mileage is 89,456 miles under 100k but still been denied by kia. My transmission failed to work kia dealer is charging me almost 2,000 dollars to replace the new transmission..in my understanding i am still cover because i am still under 100k. But unfortunately i was been denied many times because i can't provide the receipt and maintenance record. I don't want you guys to suffer with same agony that i've been going through right now. Please be wise and smart... 100 k warranty is not going to cover you... Now i am stock with my kia. I wish i didnt buy this car 8 years ago..
