Paid over $2000 for 4 year car warranty in 10/15/07. Tried to contact company to file claim 8/23/10. Recording said it is no longer in business

Cars & Transport

On 10/15/07 I purchased a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country from North Coast Auto of Cleveland Ohio and at the same time purchased a 4 year car warranty for over $2000 from their warranty provider, Great Lakes Warranty Corporation.

Turned in my first claim on 12/03/09 for $283.70. Should have received payment within 30 days. They finally paid the claim after I called them several months later. Claim was paid on 04/15/10.

Submitted claim for work done on 07/23/10 by Chrysler dealer and when he called Great Lakes (1-888-740-7111) for a claim number as required the recording said "no longer in operation".

I have been ripped off for the expiration of the 4 year contract, losing approximately 1 1/2 years (estimated loss $650) plus costing me the expense of paying for the dealer repairs of $137.23 for a wheel sensor which would have been covered under warranty.

I also tried calling Great Lakes but no answer. This company is a total ripoff! Do not have anything to do with this company, they should be investigated!
