Trying to sell unneeded repair work

I work for a local company as a mechanic and every time one of the trucks (pick ups) go in for a tire repair the owner is told that there is $100s of dollars needed in repairs every time! Last month on the 19th I had done a complete brake job on a rig only to have the owner told the truck needed brakes right away and it would be over $700 I pulled the truck in and inspected it to find the pads front & rear like new. Then checking the file to see it was done less then 30 days prior. After several times I finally set up a test, I rebuild the front end on a (2wd Dodge 3/4 ton) then waited 1 month sent it in only to be given a 2 page list of parts that needed to replaced
some of the parts still looked like they just came out of the box.
How many people that don't know better is this happening to, and giving the go ahead for the repairs? I finally convinced the owner after that to move his commercial account
Les Schwab used to be a good place now its a money grab.
