Faulty Service on Brakes

Our buddy purchased some four wheels from Pep Boys in April. Three months later, she was having brake issues and delivered to Oil Monkey, Inc. (Pep Boys). She was informed that back wheels were required. While she questioned why the brakes were not examined once they had the wheels off anyhow, she was informed the tires were changed with a "Technician" who had beennot ready to check on wheels. (From previous experience I understand they'renot examining something if you don't identify. E.G. "Examine the wheels" they may charge you $45.00 for that two-minute examination.) She'd the wheels modified. Three months later she began to notice running sounds when stopping. Evidently the brake parts were changed without examining the calipers. I'd her consider the vehicle to some reliable technician (Palumbois Vehicle Treatment) in Glasgow, De and was informed the calipers had siezed up, used out the wheels and destroyed the rotors. Price $1,040. When approached later, Pep Boys Support??? Supervisor denied any obligation. "they do not usually check calipers". Is not this part of repairing the issue on the two-year old vehicle with significantly less than 35K mikes? A has been submitted using the BBB. Meanwhile, keep in mind that Pep Boys technicians (Oil Monkeys) might be licensed (Perhaps), however they actually are unaware. I'dnot purchase a quart of gas from Pep Boys due to comparable issues within the remote past. I wonder just how many Pep Boys professionals have their vehicles maintained there??
