Scam!

I found them to have the best price offered from all dealer ships around the Boston area for the particular car I was looking for. The car was only a couple years old, VERY low miles and said to be "in great condition". I called them and offered a couple thousand less than their offer. They said that they couldn't do the price but to come on in and take it for a ride and we would negotiate price afterwards.

I went to the dealership and took the car for a ride. I didn't notice much of anything wrong with the car other than a couple tires were woren. I don't claim to know anything about cars so I had no idea really what to look for. I asked for the Car Fax report and they had it available immediately but gave the impression of hesitation in giving it to me. The Car Fax report said that the car was in an accident but "No damage reported".in other words, they gave the impression that it was a fender bender accident. I bought the car anyways (my mistake, and a big one).

When I had enough money saved to replace all four tires I brought the car to a different place and had the tires replaced and had an alignment done too. The mechanic said that he was unable to do any alignment as the car was in a severe accident and it would cost thousands to fix. Had the tires replaced anyways as I need a car for work.

At this point, there was nothing I can do but researched further why Car Fax didnt report much on this accident or my bad for not being smarter. I paid and had an auto check on my car. WHA-LA! There it was, all accident information reported. Car Fax lacks a quick update on their records. Dedham Auto Mall purchases cars from auctions that have unibody damage among other issues and uses a car-fax report which has little information on its records to hide severe accidents. I noticed several other people complaining of the same issue with this dealership.

Check the VINs from this dealership on both Auto Check and Car Fax to make sure you are getting as much information as you can especially if you are like me and dont know much about cars!
