Meritplan Insurance Company
It's scary that these people are allowed to do business as an insurance company

I cannot believe that Meritplan Insurance is allowed to do business in the State of California. They are dishonest and in my case tried to avoid paying a claim, in which, their insured ran a stop sign and slammed into my car. They had an adjuster in Texas, American Claims Management and Kyle Huckleberry (more like Huckleberry Hound) who claimed that he investigated and found that the accident was my fault. Helloooooooooo... You are in Texas and I'm in California.

The Adjuster would not return my phone calls and he claimed that I was wasting his time. I called the corporate office of Meritplan and got the runaround constantly.

My insurance company, State Farm and Meritplan went to arbitration and it was proven 100% that it was Meritplan's insureds fault. With an honest insurance company, this could have been taken care of simply, but the lady who hit me, lied and I had to jump through hoops to get my money back. She had no integrity and neither does Meritplan.

RUN... Don't walk away from this insurance company. And if you are in an accident with a Meritplan insured, make sure you file police reports, etc. I'm also filing a complaint with the State of California against them. They are so dishonest.
