We had borrowed money to get a reliable vehicle that was within our income limit for our disabled children that has a lot of doctor appointments due to their health. The used car saleman at Silver City Auto told us that the 1990 Volvo with bad heads was "the best vehicle on the lot considering the other lemons that they had doctored up to sell to other poor unsuspecting victims (like us) so, we took the car for a test drive it did okay. But we did not know is that the car dealers can buy some honey thick liquid that can keep the car from smoking and not show up in the oil. So, when we drove off we put gas in it and took it to Walmart first in the Mesquite area the lady worker said they do not change oil in that type of vehicle. So, we went on Buckner street to get the oil change and that when everything shattered. The mechanic pop up the hood and he called me over to show me that the car had been doctored up and it had bad heads. I told him the car had started shutting off when I stop at the light and stop sign, the mechanic said that is why, whoever sold you that car take it back to Silver Auto, because it is against the law to sell a cusotmer a car with bad heads or engine. What can you do when the laws of Texas are in bed with the car dealers that are selling people that have limited income and transportation to rip people off. I have called NACA you get a recording no live person to pick up. And most of the attorneys wants to tackle the lemon law for new cars, but not the lemon law for used cars, because "AS-IS." That sounds funny especially when a car dealer can use the bill of sale to transfer the title in your name, without you ever looking at the title. How is that? I thought when you purchase a cash vehicle used and owe nothing, but you do not get the title but a receipt showing you bought this vehicle. There is somehting wrong with this when a business can sell you contaminated meat and have the law back the business up! This is deep. No news or consumer for action says anything about this new era "chop shop" they don't have steal vehicles and change vin nowadays. "They look like the common folks, but rip you off in your face and have the right to do so." They worried about the foreclosure off homes, how about taking the poor people who needs a vehicle for work, going to the doctors, buying food, etc. The bus is okay, but who wants to ride one an for 2 hours just to get to where you need to go and you still have to walk on top of that to get to your destination, because the "LAW" allows people like these ones to rip you off your hard earn money.By the way we have to pay interest on the money we borrowed, and we have to get about $500 dollars of work done on the car to be in a safe and operable state. Who hears the cries and groans of being car jacked and we didn't have to go far to find it. All we wanted was an affordable vehicle to take our children to their doctor appointments.
