Wrongful repossession and awful customer service

My husband and I purchased a mini van. We were approved for financing through Lobel Financial. We always made our payments on time. When my husband lost his job, we were late on a payment. The payment was not even 30 days late, and we stayed in contact with the company. We spoke with Ron on a Wed and agreed we would have our payment in by the close of business on Monday.
I sent our payment western union on that Saturday. On Monday morning our vehicle was repossessed. We contacted Ron, who we had made the agreement with, to see about getting our vehicle back because our payment was made and we had arangeed to make our next two payments in two weeks. He said the only way we could reclaim the vehicle was to pay the towing, storage and repo fees. We ended up never getting our vehicle back and owe over 12,000. How unfair is this.
