Jensen Tire & Auto
Billed me for new VALVE STEMS that were not replaced on the new tire installations done in

Cars & Transport

I hit a pothole and blew out a tire, so I had Jensen Tire replace the tire with a new one on my Kia Optima with alloy wheels. After getting home I noticed that I was billed for a replacement valve stem for $3.00. This wheel has the 'screw' in valve stems and I wondered at that time about whether or not the valve stem had actually been replaced. Anyway as the story goes, I had a Town & Country that needed alignment and tires, so I took it to Jensen about a week later. I got the alignment done, and 4 new tires installed on my alloy wheels that also have the 'screw' in valve stems. Guess what, I was billed another $12 for replacement valve stems again. Only this time I was ready for them, I had used a permanent felt tip marker and left a mark on the valve stems before I took it in to them. The marks were still on the valve stems when I got the car back!
I called Jensen and asked if the valve stems were really replaced since these were the 'screw' in version and they told me that they would check and if they were not replaced then they would credit my bill for the over charge. I just got my credit card bill today, and there is no credit for the overcharge. (I really didn't expect to see one, either) So anyone buying tires from Jensen needs to be aware that their computer software automatically adds valve stems to your bill whether they install them or not. I have a $15 additional cost to my tire replacement that shouldn't have occurred. You can bet that I won't be using Jensen for anymore car repair. I think one time is all it takes when you see something like this happening to cure you from ever dealing with Jensen again. Especially after they were given the chance to correct the error!
