After about a month of looking, I found a car at www.greenlightautollc.com that was only about $9,000 and I was told over the live help that Id been pre-approved for a loan from them that would make my payments $129 a month for 60 months. After paying the deposit, receiving and test driving and wanting to buy the car, I spoke to Delma Norris the lady who would handle my financing paperwork. She said my actual payment might go over that a bit. I told her that I was told $129 at 60 months and that I can only afford that and that she saw what I was making (very little - $950 per month gross at my two jobs). She told me its actually $141 per month.
I asked her So, why is more per month compared to what we agreed? Yes! Said Delma Its only $1 more per month and you are covered for 36 months warranty or 36,000 miles. I felt, at that point to add a cost of roughly $720 over the life of the loan (60 months) to be protected in this way, would be worth it. But I hate surprises and I felt that Delma was really pushy about this warranty thing. Buyers beware of www.greenlightautollc.com, they will offer you a great deal and after that they will come with this kind of surprises. I still have the car and I still pay for it.
