Stuck accelerator Pedal

My daughter was almost in a crash when her accelerator stuck. Luckily she was able to swerve on to a side street when her brake did not override the accelerator when she was forced to go through a red light. When the car was checked she was told nothing was wrong. If Toyota has to be responsible for this why doesn't Chevrolet. Is this a political agenda. I have always had trouble with Chevy. They never back up anything that they make. That is why I will never buy another Chevy!!!
