Ripoff Camaro repairs would cost $950 got it repaired at a mom and pop place for $300.00 complete and it works fine

Cars & Transport

I took my daughter's camaro in to find out why it overheats. Left the car for several hours and then went back to pick it up.

I was told that they pressure tested the radiator cap and it was bad so they replaced it. The very next day the heater core blew, so I called the dealer to find out what they did.

The service advisor indicated that they pressure tested the whole heating and cooling system. I told him about the heater core being blown and his reaction was, "they didn't do it! And if I wanted it fixed, it'll cost $950.00 " Needless to say I didn't take it back, but got it repaired at a mom and pop place for $300.00 complete and it works fine.

Also my son has been trying to get into the GM ASEP Auto Tech Apprentice Program with the dealer and the community college, but the six or more calls he left for the service manager so he could get an appointment for an interview never was returned. I guess they really don't give a hoot about future employees.
