Car Dealer told me I was approved after 6 hours working with salesman at dealership after 30 days I received a call saying I was never approved and bring the car back now

First time buyer of a new car spent 6 hours at wesley chapel honda getting approved for my first new car. After I got my insurance I was told that I was approved and here is your beautiful new Honda civic!!! I was so excited they told me my payment would be higher because I was a first time buyer I agreed to the higher payment after driving the car for 30 days I received a call telling me I was never approved and I would have to bring back the car or pay a even higher payment get a co-signer and put $2500.00 down. Is this some kind of sales scam used in Florida on first time buyers?
