Mis-diagnosed vehicle repair with no refund on parts replaced that were not needed. Charged $1,400 for a repair that could have been done for $356

Cars & Transport

I took a SUV in for repair because the transfer case was not working. They replaced the transfer case module and a mode switch for $1,300. Called me ant told me SUV was ready to pick up. I drove 1/2 mile out of parking lot and the car did the exact same thing. Brought vehicle back and was told the next day that it needed a body module for $700. This was replaced and it still did the EXACT same thing. Next, the transfer case switch was replaced (2nd time), and the problem still didnt go away. Lastly they came to the conclusion that it needed a igition switch. This part can be purchased from any auto parts store for $100, they declined aftermarket and we had to wait 3 weeks on a back ordered part for $356. The ignition switch seems to have fixed the problem but they refuse to refund the $1,300 on parts that were never bad to start with.
