Family Decieved when Buying a Wrecked Program Van

We bought a programed van in July. We thought it had only been driven a very small amount and had not been wrecked. At least that is what we were told. We purchased the van from Rocky Top Chevrolet in Lenoir City. We went and told the salesman that we had dealt with before. After several day's theyu had found what we wanted at an auction in Georgia. This is were the van was suppose to have come from.

Two days later we went to the dealership to see it. The van did not have everything that we wanted, such as rear heat and air, cd player, towing option, new tires and nice wheels. The manager said not to worry he would make good on all the things we wanted. We were leaving for the beach so we told him we would take the van and needed the tow bar immediateky but we could wait on the other stuff, in which there was a list made. The manager delivered the van to our house the night before we were leaving. The tow bar had been installed, but he said he couldn't get the cd player installed in time, however at this point he promised a six changer cd player under the back seat when we got back. He also promised to fix the few chips in the paint and the clean up there was red stains in two places in the carpet. He also promised the new tires, because the ones on the front were already worn.

When we returned I took the van to the lot where it stayed for a month waiting for all the parts to make the doors close correctly, the cd player, the paint job, the carpet clean, just to mention a few of the things promised. When the van was picked up the only things done was ther was a cd player in the dash one cd at a time type, the van had new wheels and tires but they were off another vehicle and were not really new, he had also had the van realigned as I had complained that it was out again.

In November I had almost sold the van to some people. The people I had that wanted to buy took the van to a friend to have it checked out. The Van Had Been WRECKED! I was just as surprised as they were. I immediately called the Manager and asked him about this he told me he was unaware. I then took it to a auto body shop to have a friend look it over. Sure enough it had been wrecked and he showed me how to tell.

I called the manager back and told him I was for sure. He told us to bring the van over he wanted to have someone look at it. We took it, he kept the van for a week. When we went back he had the van aligned and someone had tightened up the grill and bumper.

We at this time told him we were totally not happy with our purchase and he needed to do something to make it right. We borrowed a wwhole lot of money and thought we were getting a just like new van. We know now that the van is not worth what we payed because it has been wrecked.

We tried to work with him to no luck. He has been suppose to call us back now for about two months and we have not heard a word. We want our money back for the van and for the van we traded in.
