Matthew Byrd Mobile Auto Tech that preys on people who are vunerable or in a desperate situation

Matthew Byrd assured me that he would fix my 2000 Ford Focus ZX3. He said it would not cost anymore than $1,000.00. That would consist of $400.00 for the transmission it needed and $600.00 for labor.
When he had the car torn apart he then told me I would have to replace the clutch because if I didn't he could not guatantee his work. That would cost $350.00. That brought the price now to $1,350.00.
After a week the car was still not fixed and he told me he was having trouble getting the transmission. He showed up the following week and proceeded to put everything back together. He could not get the axels back on the car because when he removed them he banged them off with a hammer and he damaged the threads on them. He then told me that that would cost $437.47 before he could fix the car. I felt he was the one that destroyed them in removing them from the car. I gave him a check for that amount when he insisted that the car could not be fixed without replacing the axels. He wanted the payment for labor without having the car done. I refused.
After finally telling me it was fixed he then told me that labor was going to cost $687.00. I paid him the $600.00 that was agreed on after arguing with him. I asked him to provide the invoice for the axels which I bought but didn't feel I should of had to buy. He tried to write out an invoice for them and he asked me how much I paid for them. I also saw him put some parts into the back of his truck and I found some bolts in the driveway that belonged on the car.
As soon as he left I tried to drive the car and could not. I couldn't get the car into first gear. I contacted him and he told me he would try to make it out that day but he had three jobs to do and a transmission to pick up. I contacted him again and he had an excuse why he could't make it out to fix the car. He then stopped responding.
All he did was SCAM me out of my money. I paid a total of $1787.47 for nothing! The car still is not fixed and I can't trust it. He does not provide the services he claims and his work is NOT guaranteed! This cost way more than I expected.
