Jeremy Franklin Suzuki
Uses Predatory Sales Practices

Cars & Transport

My husband and I visited Jeremy Franklin Suzuki today after seeing a Kia Optima on their website for $3,971, here is a link - http://www.jeremyfranklinkc.com/usedinventory/KNAGD126635210374. We first dealt with Ricky who got us financed through a high risk lender and then we test drove the vehicle. He kept saying he did not know the price of the vehicle and he would have to check on it. Everytime we asked Ricky if he had confirmed the price he would blow off the question and start talking about something else. When Ricky came back with the numbers we were shocked to find out that they were trying to charge us almost $8000 for the car. I had not printed what I saw online so I got up and left. I went home to verify by going to their website, that this was indeed the same vehicle and then called back and spoke with TJ Clark who was also trying to pressure us into buying the car while we were there. TJ informed me that when they sent the offer to the bank that the bank had set the price and not them. I knew this was not the case as the banks do not set the pricing, dealerships do. So, my husband called back and talked to a Sales Manager who told him that because we were considered high risk that they marked the price of the vehicle up because they could not sell it to us for that price being high risk borrowers. My husband asked him why that made any sense to loan us more money than less, being high risk. The Sales Manager had no response for that and instead said that if we wanted to buy the vehicle for that price we could bring in cash only. My husband told him that the vehicle's price online was not listed as cash only and his response was that $3,971 was the price of the vehicle, but it was not our price. I feel that Jeremy Franklin Suzuki was preying on us given the fact that we were a high risk borrower.
