I Drove My Car In But Had To Tow It Out!

I drove my car into Tech Masters and spoke to Keith who represented himself as the "boss". I told him my car had been overheating so he placed it on a rack. After a brief time examining it he told me he was 100% sure that the overheating was due to a faulty radiator & that it needed to be replaced. He then told me my brakes were shot & it would be a safety hazard for him to let me drive it out of his shop without replacing them. Since the cost of the repairs was equal to the value of the car I was skeptical, but he assured both myself and my brother (who paid for it) that my car would be running like new.
The next day I received a phone call from Tech Masters/Keith telling me he had some good/bad news. The good news was he replaced the radiator & brakes, the bad news was I needed a new engine! I told him I wanted to pick it up immediately & was told I couldn't, for the car didn't start due to a cracked engine block & that I would have to have it towed out of his shop!
After hanging up I received another call from Tech Masters/Keith telling me he could replace my engine for a mere $3500.00!! He even said that with my okay he would just charge it to my brothers credit card, as if I had the authorization to use it freely!
Upon arriving with a tow truck to get my car I asked Keith to put it on a rack (which there were several unused) to at least show me my new brakes (Drive-Axles/Pads/Rotors, etc) He refused saying that he did the work and did not need to prove it to me. My car is very low to the ground (1991 Acura Integra) so it would be impossible for me to check it without the car being jacked up. I then asked for my parts back that he took out of the car. He told me he had thrown them away & that I should've informed him that I wanted them before he did the repair. Since the repair was done in a day and I got there within 24 hours, unless someone drove it to the dump I did not see how this could be possible.
In closing I am currently out $800.00 and anyone who reads this who thinks they can help me, please contact me. I have already filed a complaint w / the BBB but I can not afford to take them to court. A mechanic should not be able to get away with selling brakes on a car that has a bad engine. It just is not right.
