IN 02/08 I bought a truck from Sheehy Ford in Marlows and had a good experience with them. Because they new me and I thought I knew them when I was car jacked on 9/28/08 I felt I should back to them for another truck. I was working with a Gentleman named Jerome Miller. He put me in a 2007 Ford Explorer.in November I was told I was approved by the same company that I got my first one through, JP Morgan Chase. I had an Outside dealer warranty put on the vehicle in order to not have problems later. About the end of November or beginning of Dec I was called in by saying that they had good news for me. I did not know what they meant so I came in. Jerome was no longer there. I was told that they could not finance me for the truck that I had temp tags on, changed my ins over to and was comfortable driving, when they told me that I had to give up the truck I did not get financed. I was upset and as a last ditch effort I even tried to contact Navy FCU, my bank to try to get financed and they denied me, so I was prepared to walk away, but I really needed to have a vehicle because I worked nights for a hospital and there is no public transportation home. They new this so they claimed they were going to help me. They gave me a 2008 Ford Fusion stating that the finance companies could not finance a $14,000 used truck but they could finance me for a $19,000 car. They asked me to order and give them two $750 checks (I did not have them on hand because I don't use them). I told them that this is not tax season I don't have $1500 laying around. Hold the checks to see If I could borrow the money. When I sat down for financing I was told since the payments were too high they would set it up so that if I do auto payments they would take it out every two weeks instead of once a month I signed documents that stated that. They attempted to deposit the money after I told them just to use the checks to hold. I was angry and tried to give the car back and I wanted my $500 back. They told me don't worry about it and don't tell anyone, but my checks were guaranteed by telecheck so I no longer owed them I owe telecheck and they would call me with the number to make payment arrangements with them so I could keep the car. I waited for these payments to come out of my account, they never did. When I called Ford Motor Credit they told me they don't set up every two week payments so I started out with a late payment. I only made one payment and have been trying to figure out what to do or if I should consider this a lost since I never wanted this car in the first place. I found out when I got a court summons that I was being sued for the $1500 dollars. They included items in the cost of this vehicle that I never received. For example: I had no need for their Insurance, I had Gieco transferred to the 08 Ford Fusion from the 07 Ford explorer before I left the lot. They added insurance in my finance cost. I requested I vehicle theft device installed I was told that that was included. I never got it when I came to have it installed the installation people told me I had to pay for it. They even changed the down payment amount in this summons from $2000 now to $3000. I am not prepared to give in to deceit and being lied to with out a fight. I spoke to an attorney that required a retainer and she told me that I have a case in both situations the car deal itself and the $1500 I am being sued for. I could not pay her retainer so I am back to square one. Since I was not in the position to have this matter resolved legally because I had not realized that documents I signed were not include is the documents that were given to me, I now have a $19000 debt on a car that was only worth $12000 at the time of purchase, Not to mention the fact that my credit is now in the low 400's, and they have repossessed the car. It seems as if I have no options except to inform others to stay away from SHEEHY FORD ON BRANCH AVE IN MARLOW HEIGHTS!!!
