Unfriendly, Unhelpful, Once they have your money they dont care about you

I was sold the GE Warranty with my used vehicle, and assured that it was one of the best warranty companies there was. This is true only if you never have to make a claim.

The warranty is vaild 36/100000, my vehicle has 61000 miles when the tranny locked up. I followed the directions on my paper work to the letter.

At this point I have had my vehicle in the shop for a week with nothing done to it, due to the warranty company. GE is finally sending out one of there inspectors 6 bussiness days later. Since they due not believe my auto shop or the tranny shop after talking with both of them.

GE also states that after approvel that they will approve upto $35 a day for 5 days for a rental car, please note that they will not approve more days even though i have been with out a car for a week now and that if and when i get approval they dont care that the car will be in the shop over the weekend. I get 5 days thats it. So i can choose to have a car from thru-mon, when my car wont be ready untill friday at the earliest, or mon-fri.

Please also note as GE was kind enough to tell me that they are a call center, so you get who ever answers the phone, and not one person who haddles your claim. GE was also informed me that they normal deal with the shop and I should call my shop to get updates. Which was stated to me several times. Ofcourse that translates to we dont want to talk to you. However since I paid for GE for such unhelpful service, I belive that they should talk to me and ansewer my questions. I also feel that they should be just a little more helpful.

Once everthing is done and said my car will be in the shop for almost 3 weeks, and they will only pay for half the repairs and 5 days of rental car.

In a nut shell GE looks for everyway they can to inconvenice you, not pay, and be as unfriendly as they can. GE should stick to lightbulbs and toaster ovens.
