Peak5 apparantly went bankrupt and cannot be found which is bad because they have the title to my vehicle

My wife and I just recently went car shopping when we found out some bad news.in the process of buying a new car we got our other vehicle ready for a trade in. There was one problem - we didn't have the title to our other vehicle.

Peak5 was the business we financed our old car through. We tried calling them, and got a constant busy signal. We tried finding them on the internet, and could not get through to any website. How do we find these people? More important, how do we get the title to our vehicle which is bought and paid for? Who is this financial group and why are they doing this to me?

We decided to go ahead to the dealership and see what they could do for us. Not having a title for our trade in was a problem, but the dealer was willing to work with us.

Here's the kicker... When the dealer pulled up our credit report it showed we had a remaining balance on our trade in! The balance peak5 showed on our credit report was the exact amount of our last payment. We would have liked to contact peak5 and resolve this issue, but it seems as though peak5 has disappeared. (with our title and a scar on our credit report)

For five years we made every payment on time, never late, and Peak5 did this to us. It ended up costing us several thousand dollars to fix the title issue with the dealership. It also put us at a higher interest rate for our new car because of the FALSE statement of a previous balance still owed.

I don't think peak5 even exist anymore, but EVERYONE make sure you are dealing with a stable financial business when applying for loans. Peak5 cost me a lot of money in today's economic crunch. That makes me angry when a business like that takes food out of my family's mouth.

If anyone knows how to contact these low lifes, please let me know. They owe me lots of money and a giant apology. Thank you.
