They took my deposit, then raised the price. Won't refund my deposit. Ultimate shysters. Don't trust these people!

I was trying to buy a new Mazda at this dealership. The manager on duty, named Gilbert, finally asked me if I would buy the car for a certain price. I agreed. He said he would have to find the car on the computer. I said I didn't want to wait around. He agree to call me within the hour to tell me when I could pick up the car. With two salesmen as witnesses, I gave Gilbert a $100 deposit so he would know he wasn't wasting his time finding the car.
Within the next hour I got a series of calls from Gilbert and one of the salesmen telling me that the car was $900 more than we had agreed on. I said I would pick up my deposit the next day. Then another call, it was now only $600 mroe than we had agreed upon. I declided. A couple days later I went to the dealership, a one hour drive, to pick up my deposit. The General Manager, Al, wasn't so friendly this time. He said Gilbert was off work that day and would mail me the deposit the next day. Of course no check was ever mailed. And after three weeks of calling an getting lied to "it's in the mail", "I have to check with my wife to see when she mailed it" I have given up on contacting the dealer. The Manager, Al, won't take my calls, and the Asst Manger, Gilbert, who stole my deposit, just told me "do what you have to do".
They think that I will just forget about the $100. But that's the not the way to do business. So... Please be warned that this dealership is operated with the lowest regard for honesty and from the General Manager on down is disreputable and dishonest.
Me? I'm going to find an attorney and go after these guys so they don't think they can just lie, cheat and steal without consequences.
