Dealer Staff
Costs more than you think! Rip off!

Cars & Transport

Back in '08 I called Dealer Staff for a job in automotive sales. After a very quick "phone interview" I was accepted and given the password via email to begin online training. Lucky for me though, it didn't cost anything at all. I found this too good to be true, but went through with it anyways. The training was long and I learned very little about actual automotive sales. I was excited that I would be placed at a dealership, and start working immediately, and it cost me nothing to get trained! I was under the impression that the dealership was paying for my training

I was wrong. After training and passing the way to easy tests, I was assigned at a local dealership near me. I went dressed in my best and ready for the interview. I was told then that because I had no experience, they probably wouldn't hire me. I mentioned that I was trained by Dealer Staff and felt I was ready to start selling cars successfully. This didn't matter to them and I was denied. I called Dealer Staff to tell them I did not get it they assigned me to ANOTHER dealership the very next day. I arrived later that week for my interview. There were two other guys sitting there waiting as well. Come to find out, they ALSO were trained by dealer staff. I was denied this job for unknown reasons. I went and took the drug test, and was told I would be called the very next day. I passed the drug test but no call. Ever. I informed Dealer Staff that I did not get a call back and they informed me that I would receive a call back with yet another dealership.

Never got a call back. Which come to find out is a great thing! Dealer Staff doesn't charge the dealerships for your training.instead they take out a large sum of money from your paycheck for every car sold for the first 3 months (No wonder they urge you to sell 8-12-16 cars in the first 3 months!!!). So in the end you end up paying a LOT for your training. They do not advertise this fact at all, and I am gald I did not get hired after all after discovering this little fact.

I wasted hours and hours of my time watching the training videos for nothing. Even if I had gotten hired, I would have been even more pissed that I would have been duped out of possibly thousands of dollars.
