Charged me for unnecessary repairs

A few weeks ago I took my car to Pep Boys because my belts were sqeaking and my power steering was squealing. I paid $160 to have my belts replaced. The very next day the squeaking and sqealing sounds were still occurring. I took my car back a few days later and this time they claimed it was the tensioner pulley that was malfunctioning and causing the noises. I asked why they didn't determine this the first time and that I essentially paid for repairs that I didn't need. I told them that I didn't feel as though I should pay to have the pulley replaced since they should've found and fixed the problem correctly the first time. They claimed that since the belts were worn, that the first repair was legit. They also said that they couldn't help that they didn't notice the worn pulley the second time. They said the most they could offer me was a measly 10% discount on the work. So I ended up paying another $180.

The very next day, my car was STILL making the noises. At that point I became fed up and decided to never patronize a Pep Boys again. They are either a) incompetent or b) scammers. Either way they're bad business. Stay away from them.
