False Advertising, Thieves and Liars, Bad Reputation

Larry Laken is a liar and a thief. My car was dropped off on a Saturday for a tranny rebuild that was to take 3-5 days. That Tuesday I was told that the work had begun and would be finished soon. On Wednesday it wasn't done. On Friday I called and it wasn't done. I went to the shop and my car was still in the original drop off location.

I asked to speak with Larry to get my deposit back and have the car towed out. Larry wouldn't come in to speak with me and the workers immediately removed my transmission so I couldn't get another shop to do the work. They also removed my license plate for some reason. I was told that they would work through the weekend to make sure the car was finished by Monday.

Monday when I called, the car wasn't ready. Larry told me the transmission had been sent out to a shop to be repaired. He refused to tell me where.

Tuesday the car wasn't ready. I went to Franny's after work and refused to leave until I spoke to Larry. I waited a few hours and he never showed up.

Wednesday the car wasn't ready. I went to Franny's again after work and waited several hours for the police to put in a report. I was given the name of a bogus company that supposedly has my transmission. Larry said he'd release my car for the full balance due, even though my transmission is MIA and he's had my car for 2 days short of two weeks and NO repairs have been made.

This is still ongoing and has not been resolved. I put in a complaint with the BBB and am awaiting a response.
