I bought an 2003 Asto Van with Americredit in 2005. I have had it repossed before and paid and astronomical amount to get it back. I am single and need transportaion to get to work and was not about to loose over $15,000. I had already paid to them. Well, they did it again. I had knee replacement surgery in January, had complications and was in the hospital for over 30 days.

Now I kept in contact with them, even made partial payments from my hospital bed (I knew how ignorant they could be). They constantly called the house 2-3 times a day knowing I was in the hospital. They talked to my 82 yr old mother who has had a stroke and just getting back to being herself. Totally uncalled for since I was calling every two weeks with some payment.

I myself finally got home late February. I called them last week with a partial payment they gave me no indication that they were going to repo. I woke up this morning to get ready to go to rehab. Mom looked out window and you guessed it, the car is gone. I cannot walk to work, obviously, I cannot get to rehab, I have no other means of transportation.

Now I don't owe more than $9,000. On the vehicle. They are demanding all back payments, late fees, next payment for a total of $2770. Plus on top repo man gets $30.00 a day they hold it. Now obviously I cant get it out and they knew it, so they got there vehicle I lost approx $21,000. That I have paid over the last 4 years.

WARNING STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I sincerely hope someone will go after them and put them out of busness. I did what all the lawyers and finance people tell you to do and kept in contact and made some payment, but it wasn't good enough for them.
