A Plus Auto Repair
Waited 40 days for minor repairs. Returned car unrepaired with a broken window

Cars & Transport

I dropped my pick up truck off on Nov 17th for minor repairs. I was promised the vehicle back in 2 days. The manager called a day later saying he was behind and it might take until the 22nd before the repairs were completed. (in 40 days this was the 1 and only call I received from A Plus Auto)

The vehilce was not ready on the 22nd of November and when I called the manager said he was waiting for parts he needed to complete the repairs.

I called several times over the next few weeks and he always said he was waiting for parts and that the vehicle was up on th erack apart and he could not work on other cars. He was rude.

On December 27th, at night 40 days after I dropped off the vehicle, I went to the shop to check on my vehicle. It was parked outside and my drivers side window was crooked and "off the track" slightly rolled down, and loose.

I had just had that window repaired two days before dropping off the truck.

I was unable to roll up the window or secure the vehicle since I didn't have the key.

Later that night I again checked on the vehicle and the window was now rolled all the way down and rain was getting inside. Two "C" clamps were missing from the vehicle.

I called the police and a report was made.

The next day I called the shop and asked about my window. The manager denied breaking it or being responsible for it in any way.

I was given no receipt but was allowed to take my truck with no charge.

The repairs are still needed. It runs just the same after 40 days as it did before.

The manager had damaged the interior door panel beyond repair in an attempt to fix the window that he previously denied being responsible for.

If the window had been left alone and not "repaired" by the manager it would have been fixed under warranty. It would have been fixed correctly.

The door panel is damaged beyond repair. The window will not roll up or down.

I turned it in to my insurance company and they called the manager and he told them he turned it in to his insurance company. They said his insurance company would call me.

They have not contacted me. It's been 4 weeks.
