Don't trust these guys

I just went into this shop to have some basic maintenance done on my car because I could tell it was time for a Transmission flush, instead I got insulted and told I needed a new transmission. I could tell they were more interested in the big hit from the beginning when they started telling me there was no magical fluid which would fix my transmission and not to wast their time if I didn't bring my checkbook.

Originally they told me they would do a free checkup on my transmission to determine what required to solve the performance issue I was concerned about. Sounded like a good idea at the time. But after I got there it was all about replacement, not repair. He pointed to all the other suckers cars in the lot and said all these people are here for 2-3k repairs and 2000 wasn't allot of money for a new transmission under warranty.

After my altercation I went to another garage I know and told them about my experience, he told me he had two other customers from their who had their car towed from that garage with similiar experiences including one which came in pieces. Thank God I don't have a credit card to throw around. Otherwise I might have considered it. I like my car and could rationalize the cost of almost any impovement on it.
