Credit Acceptance
Wont release title of a car thats paid off. Michigan

After 2 years of troubles with Credit Acceptance, I paid off my loan early, I just wanted to be away from them, and the lemon of a car I had. They had repossessed my car even after all payments were made, they called my house sometimes 5 times a day about some 7 dollar late fee that was incorrect, they even called at 630am on a sunday!!! So I paid off the loan on the car, and I want to trade in the car so I can buy a new one (not with their help again). They stated that they do not send out titles to cars until after 4-6 weeks!!! I spoke to 3 different departments, no one said they could help me, they were rude when I called, no one ever answers the managers phone, no one ever calls back (unless they are looking for money), and no one will help me. I cant trade in the car unless I have the title. I have the dealer for the new car I am buying trying to get them to send out the title. I dont want to lose the awesome deal I found on a brand new car, and lose my trade in amount because of some illegitimate finance company who already has all their money, and wont send me the title.
