Refund withheld to consumer for 6 months... I am mad as h

I purchased my extended warranty back in 2005 for my Pontiac Grand Prix for $1348 after I was contacted by them. It seemed on the up-and-up and I did use the warranty for something during the warranty period however, it never seemed to quite cover the needed repairs to my car. I should have known it was a scam then!

Well, I traded in my car in JUNE after needing more repairs which were of course, not covered by this boot-legged warranty. So, I was told to send in my Odometer Statement by the new car dealer, which showed that I was clearly within the warranty terms. I was later notified by Continental Warranty after contacting them that I would receive a refund of $522 in 6-8 weeks. Once this time passed, I called back and was told that it was being processed but would take another 6-8 weeks (ok... October). I have yet to receive my money as of DECEMBER!

I have made NUMEROUS attempts to contact them at the Customer Service phone number which is a crock of crap! The message that I have gotten stated that their Customer Service Dept. Was going through construction and that you can leave a message or email their customer service dept. Which I have done too many times to mention. Once I even went through their whole email system and left messages in any mailbox that I could. I still have not received any response. I looked them up and I saw that you can still purchase warranties through them. I wish that I had been privy to this complaint prior to buying this piece of crap warranty. Do not buy from them!
