Used car company uses "Sign here, initial here" to get a contract for a car that you can't drive first

This company uses its web site and its sales style to make customers believe that their primary business is selling wholesale to dealers and exporters, maybe it is. The public is graciously allowed to make an appointment to cherry-pick the cream only 8 days out of every month. Sounds like a great place to buy a used car, eh?

They are so confident in their stock that they don't allow browsers to put the cars in gear, let alone test drive them. They tell you that you can test drive, have a mechanic inspect, etc. Within 3 days, but the truth is once you give them a deposit and sign their nasty, nasty contract, the car you didn't drive is yours.

If legal, their contract is ironclad - your only option if you decide the car is not what you want is to forfeit your deposit, 25% or $1,000, whichever is greater. The mechanic inspection / test drive is just something they say to ease your mind into signing the contract. Once signed your deposit is theirs... You don't have to take the car, but the deposit is gone.
