Aamco Transmission, Gloria Jackson, Owner deserves her F rating with the BBB

She's making sure she's still getting hers in this tough economy. Took my car in for diagnosis. They wanted $1100 to diagnose the problem. Said I needed a transmission rebuild and quoted about $2400. Next day had car torn apart and called to say it's worse than they thought. New price $3800.

A week after picking up the car, the problem still exists, jerking and jilting. Took car back they kept it for a day. Called right before closing to say it's all done and test driven, ready for pick up. Said they had fixed a "sticky valve"

Drove the car just 3 miles home and 20 minutes later went to move it, only to find a huge puddle of fluid in the driveway. The car had never leaked a drop before. When returning the car to Aamco the next afternoon, noticed it was STILL jilting forward!!! The manager said there appeared to be a power steering leak and said to put stop leak in it. He said we'd need to bring the car back another day for the whole day for him to go over tranny again. Two days later, the dip stick registered no fluid in power steering, it was all on my driveway!

Took car back and insisted they had done something to cause this "coincidental leak" He said he'd take care of it, and that I shouldn't have to pay for it. Finally, we both agreed on that. I left him my car and 2 hours later he called and said it would cost me $843.00. I got the owner on the phone who said her manager would never have said he'd fix the problem for free. She also told me there was nothing wrong with the transmission and that it was a TPS problem not covered under warranty. I'm out $3800, have a 3-year warranty that they will not honor, a car that still jerks, and now have a severe power steering leak that they won't repair.
