Budget Ryder
Rick at this Budget Location Ripped us off he is a liar Stole Gas rip-off swindler Clairemont

Cars & Transport

We rented a 15ft Ryder truck from the Clairemont location. The entire time we drove the truck the 60 miles, the gas gauge didn't move from the full marking. We filled it up at the gas station across the street and even topped it off, then parked it back at the Ryder/Budget lot across the street that night and left. Later when we went to check the charges, Rick had charged us $7.90 for two gallons of gas. When we called to ask about this, he said that the gauge was down below the full line and he had to go across the street and put in two gallons.

This truck has a huge tank on it, and to say that two gallons low is going to make the gauge go down just proves what we thought: Rick at this location is a liar and the only gauge that was low was the gauge on his own car.

We called 1-800-go-ryder and got a refund, but this shows how you need to check your charges. I bet most people don't check, or just think $8 isn't too much to worry about, but that's what these creeps like Rick at 4375 Mission Bay Drive count on.
