Blew smoke and sold me a lemon

In January of this year, I attempted to purchase my first vehicle from Pence Kia in Midlothian. Because of some mistakes I made in the past, they would not approve me for a 2008 Sorento, which is what I wanted, but they would give me a 2003 Kia Sorento. They also stated when I purchased the vehicle that the warranty was still in effect for another 3000 miles.

The next week, I took it in to have keyless entry installed on it, and they pulled up the warranty information. There was no warranty on the vehicle, other than the 90 day warranty offered by the dealer. When I brought this to the attention of the finance manager who made the deal, she gladly offered to sell me an extended warranty for $5000. I did not accept.

About four months later, without warning, the engine blew. There was no warning light, or indication that the engine was overheating. It just blew. After some negotiating with the manager, it was finally agreed that I would pay $2000 toward replacing the engine. They did not offer to replace the vehicle. When they replaced the engine, they failed to replace the thermostat in the vehicle, so when it got cold, the heat failed to work. I took it to a different repair place, who had to clean out the heater core twice before I could have any heat in the vehicle.

I have since attempted to trade the vehicle, but with the poor economy, no one wants to touch it with a ten foot pole. So I am stuck with this unreliable vehicle. I also spoke with a lawyer who was no help whatsoever.
