Auto Nation defrauds more than 1000 car and truck buyers

Many months ago usacomplaints.com notified the state that a Chevrolet car dealer in El Monte California, Gunderson Chevrolet an Auto Nation car dealer, that was doing very bad things to car buyers. Now the State of California might levy fines that could total $2.6 Million against Gunderson Chevrolet an Auto Nation car dealer for reportedly doing the following.

# 1 Gunderson Chevrolet an Auto Nation car dealer, Switched car buyers contracts from a purchase to a lease without the car buyer's consent, this alone can put big bucks in the pocket of the car dealer and put the car buyer in a very bad situation in the future. Car dealers love to "STICK" car buyers in leases so the car dealer can sell the car to the leasing company for as much as 110% of the window sticker, maybe more. This alone can and will increase the buyer's payments in a big way. As a new car buyer, would you pay 110% of the window sticker???

# 2 Gunderson Chevrolet an Auto Nation car dealer sold used cars and trucks as if they were new ones. Car dealers do this all the time across the country. Car buyers should always have the new or used car that they plan to buy checked out in every way before signing any documentation of ANY KIND.

# 3 Gunderson Chevrolet an Auto Nation car dealer forged car buyer's signatures for additional options and extended warranties and service contracts, Probably at inflated prices. Car dealers love to sell new and used car buyers extended warranties at more than double and sometimes three times what they pay for them. So if the finance manager at any car dealer says an extended warranty will cost you $1200, You cut it in half and pay NO MORE!!! You also need to remember that the list of things an extended warranty will NOT COVER is many times longer then the list of repairs that it will cover. Read the list!!! Before you sign for one.

# 4 Gunderson Chevrolet an Auto Nation car dealer charged thousands for a security window etching that cost the car dealer maybe $37 bucks. This is a big rip off.
At one time I sold Infinities in Phoenix and we were told as car salesmen to try to make the buyer think that the bank or leasing company would not do the car deal unless the car buyer bought this window etching scam. One of the many deceitful reasons I could not sell cars no longer.

Gunderson Chevrolet has defrauded more than 1000 car and truck buyers out of millions of dollars between mid 1999 up to September.

My big question is, once GM finds out all about this big deception, what will they do about it? Probably not a DAM THING!!!

I would question Auto Nation's way of monitoring the way their dealers do business. Maybe Auto Nation needs to send out surveys to all of there car buyers to find out how their car dealers treat the car buyers. That's if the car dealer gives the correct mailing address to the manufacture, of the unsatisfied car buyers. A common practice by dealers so they get a high rating.
