Camping World Of Valencia Formerly Stiers RV Of Valencia
Stiers RV - Camping World Of Valencia Formerly Stiers RV Of Valencia Refused to do warrenty work

Cars & Transport

I bought my first travel trailer from Camping World of Valencia in Feb 08, we had a good experience with the sales staff, and feel we got a good deal.

We took it out every month, we discovered that one of the four tires was wereing very badly, and decided it was time (this was Sept) to take it in for a very short list of item to be fixed under warrenty (total three items, 1 being the tire or axle).

After about two weeks, I get a call from John giving me an update, he says the two little items are complete, but they are waiting on approval on the axle, no problem. Two weeks later, I started calling Camping world's warrenty department and now John is always to busy to talk to me.

Now I've been calling every other day for two weeks, leaving messages, and I'm sorry to say, being a little short with the poor girl that answers the phone.

Finally, a woman named Cat decides to talk to me, and tells me that coachman has denighed my warrenty claim on the axle. So, I call coachman, I talk to the local rep, he pulls up the workorder on my trailer, and low and behold, there is NO mention of the axle on the workorder, He tells me that he has been getting a lot of customers calling him lately with simular problem (valencia branch saying coachman denighed warrenty).

He tells me that, the axle may not show up on the workorder yet, because valencia would need to contact the axle manufacturer to process the warrenty on this item first. He gave me the axle manufacturers name and phone number, along with a contact name.

So, I call the axle manufacturer, talk with customer support, they look up my vin number, and no record is found. This means they never contacted them about the axle, so I ask the question, how does the warrenty process work? You take photos of the tire were, fill out a form and submit it, they can determine if it is an axle by the were of the tire. (sound easy).

I call Cat at Camping Worlds Warrenty department, and begin to explain everything I have found out, and low and behold, in a round about way tells me that they are just a warrenty department, not axle experts, and I would need to give her my credit card for them to fix it.

Needless to say, I am picking up my trailer tomarrow (Nov. 27th), NOT FIXED, this is 10 weeks after I droped it off there.

I am now going to have to drive it about 2 hours to another warrenty center to get it fixed.

The moral of the story is, do your research on dealers, before you decide to buy.

And if you are concidering Camping World of Valencia (formerly Stiers of Valencia), beware of the warrenty and service department, they are the only one's with 90 miles thay can work on your coachman. And will try to ripe you off.
