Change monthly min. Due after contract was signed, late charge of 40 for 1 day late

Was charged a 40 dollar late fee because labor day is on the first day of month and I made the payment on the second, also made payment on the 26th for following month and they wrote it up for Sept and charged me another late fee for my October payment.
Have contacted them they will remove the Oct. Late fee but just because labor day was on first and them closed and I made payment on 2nd they will not remove.
If I had known how they operated I never would have had my item I purchased financed thru them.
I am tring to get a personal loan somewhere else just to pay them off and be done with them!!!
