(Virginia Beach, VAAuto Source AUTO SOURCE IS A TRUE RIP-OFF

I went to Auto Source on 9/25/08 to purchase a car. I dealt with the salesman Andy Feliciano. I traded my good running van for $1500 and a deposit of $1000 cash, for a 2007 Dodge Caliber, my payments were suppose to be $311 a month with a finance company. I also had to go to my insurance company to transfer my insurance to the new car and had to pay an additional $200, which is not refundable. I was told everything was fine and there was no problems. So, I rode off the lot that day very happy. Well exactly 4 days later, I went back to Auto Source to have the rearview mirror fixed and was told that I couldn't keep the car, because I wasn't financed. Now remind you, I already signed the contract for this car, had my payment dates, amount, and the name of the finance company. I was then told that in order for me to keep this car I would have to come up with $1500 to $2000 more dollars. Now I already told Andy that I could not afford for the payments to go up, that was the purpose of putting $1000 down. So, on October 3rd, I went back there and Andy said keep the car, he found another finance company for me in North Carolina, and Craig (manager) wasn't there. Now none of this information that Andy gave me was true. I called Andy on October 8th to find out what was going on with the financing and was told that he had a Nissan Altima, because I couldn't keep the Dodge Caliber. When I get there what a surprise it was, the Altima was no where in sight, they were trying to put me in a 2005 PT Cruzer. They wanted $1500 more dollars and my payments were going up to $387 and I still wasn't told the name of this new finance company. So he tried to explain that the pricing on the Dodge Caliber was put on my contract incorrectly and that the Dodge Caliber was actually more money than what the contract said. Now how is it possible that my payments would go up for a 2005 but on a 2007 my payments would be cheaper. If you total everything that they wanted to receive it would have been $4000, which is almost 5% of the total cost of the car. I told Andy no, I can't do that because I can't afford that. So I told Andy to give me my car back, my title, and my money. Andy told his manager Craig, and they agreed to give me everything back, but the "lady" (which no one told me her name) that does the check refunds would be in the next day which was Thursday October 9th. So I was going to keep the Caliber until they gave me my money back, but Andy told me I couldn't keep the car. Here's the kicker, I get my van back and it's smoking and I mean smoking. When I traded the van in nothing was wrong with it. I get the vehicle back and it smells like cigarettes and I don't smoke, the seat was broke and cost me $100 so far to get it fixed. There was anti-freeze leaking, thermostat had to be replaced, and nuts & bolts missing from under the hood. During all this confusion I have missed time from work and did not take this situation as a game. So on the 9th on my lunchbreak I go to Auto Source to pick up my title, registration and money. I get there, Andy was no where to be found. Sounds familiar? A young woman and a young man got my title and registration but told me I couldn't get my money just yet, because the woman who does the refund checks was on vacation. Which also was not true. So I called the police and guess who would not come out of their office?

You guessed Craig (manager). The officer told me to file a civil complaint against them. So today is October the 11th and I still do not have my money yet. This will continue because I am not giving up on my money. Auto Source just don't know what they have coming. I already contacted the media! This story will continue...
