30 day warranty? Yeah right, false promises ripoff

I bought a 98 Honda Prelude on Dec. 29.included in the purchase and in writing and reiterated by the saleswoman was that the car had a 30 day warranty covering the tires, wipers, brakes, and several other items.

The car, according to them had brand new tires (nitto brand), which I had never heard of. I had told the saleperson who sold me the car before I bought it that it needed new wiper blades. Never got them but that's no big deal. Also promised detailing but that's not a big issue either.

What really made me feel ripped off was that one of the "new tires" failed in the parking lot when I was going 2 mph and barely grazed a parking lot cement stop. This tire I felt had an exceptionally weak or thin side wall and I believe that's what caused it to fail.

I called and of course I was given the runaround and finally told that it was a road hazard and that that was not covered in the 30 day warranty. So I had to replace it myself and was thinking of taking them to court but don't think it's worth my time to do this. I just hate feeling ripped off like that and just want everyone in the bay area to stay away from these guys.

I should have looked at other websites on dealers since they also warned people about this dealer. So beware, people.
