I listed my vehicle for sale by owner on the internet and was contacted by Jodie Goodnight of the Transportation Exchange. She explained her business and how it operated. I checked with the local BBB and several websites before agreeing to place my vehicle and, finding no negative information at that time, went ahead and placed my vehicle with her company. She flew to North Carolina to pick it up in August and all went well until April of this year. I received no April payment and sent numerous emails to Jodie Goodnight asking for her assistance. When none was forthcoming, I wrote a letter directly to the sub-owner. I received April's payment in June. According to my contract, once I brought the late payment to Jodie Goodnight's attention, it should have been rectified within 5 business days. I am currently attempting to get August's payment. I see on the Transportation Exchange's website that my vehicle is supposedly "placed" but I have received no payment. I have emailed Jodie Goodnight, almost on a daily basis since August 9th, and left several messages, all of which have gone unanswered. I am experiencing much the same as the other reports: lack of response to my communications, lack of payment, incorrect company address, disconnected company phone, and an excuse to my first inquiry (Ms. Goodnight's mother passed away, which now I wonder if this was honest). I was not in a financial situation where I needed free of the vehicle, just out grew it with car seats. The Transportation Exchange is not the route to go for anyone who cannot continue to make the payment when a problem arises. The situation I find myself in is paying for a vehicle I do not possess and cannot drive. I have even asked, and been ignored, that she return the vehicle to me. I advise all people to stay away from this company. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and in the end have possession of your vehicle and will provide no assistance if a problem occurs.
