Calls claiming to be interested in your existing ad, Just wants money from you

Cars & Transport

These guys are a real piece of work. They get your number from a pre-existing ad that you have for your car. I have an ad on a website to sell my car, and they call my number and say that they are a car-buying service. I call them, already skeptical, and they tell me that they can match my car to a buyer. And that they already have buyers lined up. The woman I talked to told me she was looking through the notes to see what the guy called me about. She said "It looks like you are selling a..." and paused for a minute, waiting to see if I would fill in the blank. Afterwards she said that he didnt put down what I was selling. Paused again. And then said it looks like its a Truck! I was selling a Sunfire. (car).. First they don't know. Now its a truck?

She then told me about the service and said that they charge $150.. Only $121 of which is refundable if the car isn't sold at the asking price.

She told me that they already have people lined up to buy my "truck" if I would just sign up. How could someone be lined up to buy something that I dont have that isn't already listed?

I told them what they could do with their "deal" and I sincerely hope that the person who created this "service" kills themselves. Sincerely.

Do not trust this service. Tell everyone you know about this scam. I haven't seen any good reviews about it. Only other bad things about it from this site.

If you are the person responsible for this site, please go ahead and post your rebuttal. Also don't forget to include your name, address and phone number so I can come speak with you personally. Trust me. I would LOVE to shake your hand...
